Academic Secondment: University of Porto – Portugal
Industrial Secondment: Subitec GmbH – Germany

This research will focus on concepts and whole cell catalyst development for light-driven reductive amination using e.g. transaminases or/and amine dehydrogenases in vivo, testing substrate scope, and in the improvement of efficiency by engineering of the electron transport.

Engineering the cyanobacterial chassis for improved electron supply

Engineering the cyanobacterial chassis for improved electron supply

Fellow: ESR1

Academic Secondment: Graz University of Technology – Austria
Industrial Secondment: Cyano Biotech GmbH – Germany

This research will focus on the utilization of available biobricks and development of novel ones (e.g. promoters, RBS and terminator) for the expression of biocatalysts developed in other ESR projects; and using the promotors for an improved production of ε-caprolactone.
